Tri-Cities Meshtastic

Get Started Live Coverage Map

Open, off-grid LoRa mesh for the Tri-Cities amateur-radio & maker community. Simple radios, long range, no cell service required.

What is Meshtastic? A community-run, long-range, low-power messaging network built on LoRa. We help folks in the Tri-Cities get radios set up, place community nodes, and learn best practices.

Resilient Communication

Stay connected when power or cell service goes down. Meshtastic works off-grid with no fees or subscriptions.

Simple & Affordable

Small radios cost about $20–30 and can cover miles on their own. Each new node strengthens the mesh for everyone.

Help Build the Mesh

Place a node at home, host a relay at a high spot, or just spread the word. More nodes mean better coverage across the Tri-Cities.

1. Pick a radio

Choose a supported LoRa device (~$20-30).

2. Flash & configure

Install Meshtastic and load Tri-Cities presets.

3. Place your node

High and clear = more range and more links.

4. Chat & test

Use the app, share packets, and compare coverage.
